This Lincoln automobile with custom body by Judkins is actually, quite a rare car. The Ford Motor Company had bought the Lincoln Company in 1923. In early 1924, there were three 1923 bodies left in stock at the Judkins company. In order to use them, they had to use the Leland Lincoln style fenders (of an earlier vintage) which is why this Judkins is unusual. This is one of the three cars that used those fenders. Because of this, it gives it a real one-off look. The Judkins was designed for cold weather regions and was going to be sold to Norway but it ended up being sold to a new Lincoln owner in Pasadena. It has a European flare. This car came with an elaborate floor heater, unusual disc wheels, folding fat man collapsible steering wheel and Bosch equipped windshield wiper and horn. It had a complete frame up restoration in 1970, where it won several awards at prominent car shows and was featured in Collector Car magazine. The older restoration is holding up very well. The lacquer paint job polishes up quite nicely and its engine runs strong. This fully maintained automobile is tour ready, and is very warm and comfortable in cold weather.
